How does lawn preparation work?

Every commercial property owner has a particular lawn design in mind. Our job is to make this dream a reality. We are extremely committed to helping you give shape to your creative lawn and garden ideas and educate you on proper lawn care. Our expert lawn designers will work with you to design a beautiful lawn that fits into the allotted space and matches your budget.

Next, we start to work on-site. A healthy lawn needs healthy soil. So the first thing that we do is check if the soil is capable of supporting the type of lawn you want. We usually grade the quality of soil based on three criteria:

  • Ease of planting
  • Drainage performance
  • Maintenance requirements

The objective is to develop a soil which makes lawn installation and maintenance easy and cost-effective.

Once we’ve graded your lawn, we will advise you about any soil challenges that you may have and what you can do to improve the quality of the soil. We understand how much time, effort, and money it takes to prepare and install a lawn. That’s why we want to make sure that you don’t have any obstacles in your way.

Next, we will sit with you to discuss the type of grass you’d like installed. There are numerous types of lawn grasses available, from seasonal grasses to all-year-round grasses. Each has a unique planting and maintenance requirement. If you’d like, we can get you a few grass samples that you can evaluate and then choose from. We are mindful of your specific needs and limitations, and we will suggest options that are in line with what you want.

Quality commercial and residential lawn preparation

After you’ve chosen the grass and the lawn design is nailed down, we will start by getting your soil ready for planting. If you have an old or existing lawn in the same place, we can remove it and smoothen the topsoil. Then, we can either sow the seeds and grow the lawn or we can install sod directly. The choice is yours.
